Tigard Library Celebrates America’s Music With Jass Two Plus One

Old-time jazz will come alive when the Tigard Public Library hosts the local band Jass Two Plus One on Tuesday, May 22, from 7-8:30 p.m. This group evokes the romance and adventure of ‘20s and ‘30s jazz. “Jass” is an early term for jazz.
In its formative years, jazz brought a vibrant, robust, even naughty, power to America’s original art form. Vintage clothes and period patter join with the music to bring the dawn of jazz back to life for one night.
This free program is sponsored by Friends of the Tigard Library and will be held in the George and Yvonne Burgess Community Room, formerly known as the Community Room
